Selling Camper Van VW T4 2,5L TDI, April '17 in Argentina / Chile
28.12.16 um 20:51:37

Hey travelers,
We are selling our fully equipped Volkswagen Camper Van at the beginning/ middle of April 2017. The Van is in great shape and has been converted into a full-fledged mobile home. It is a 1996 Volkswagen T4 with TDI engine (75kW, 102 HP, 2461cc, mileage 168.000) and German license plate. The motorhome upgrade was carried out by the company “Fischer Wohnmobile” in Germany and included the installation of fitted furniture with a lot of storage space, extensive lighting as well as a fiberglass roof with a hatch and a solar system. Here are some pictures of our car: [Member-Link]  Bitte Einloggen oder Registrieren

The T4 consumes little diesel (approximately 8l/ 100km) and has mastered many South American roads where it climbed over passes, mountains and sand dunes with ease. Driver and passenger seat are very comfortable and well suited for long journeys. Two additional people can sit comfortably on the rear bench. The front passenger seat can be turned backwards, which leads to the creation of a larger interior space and allows the table to be used comfortably with several people. The table can also be swung outside the car and then functions as counter/ working table. The sleeping area in the back measures 1.28 x 2.00 meters.

The stove is a gasoline stove from Coleman. The solar system fully supplies the refrigerator via an extra battery which allows the camper van to be independent from electricity supply. The fresh water tank, the wastewater tank, the Porta Potti chemical toilet, the diesel heating, the two separate battery systems (starter and extra consumer battery) as well as the integrated USB charging sockets ensure this camper van’s independence for weeks. We are travelling with our baby of 8 months which means that the Van is comfortable fully family compatible . Of course, if so desired by the buyer some children's utensils can additionally remain in the Van.

Our "traveler’s full package offer" includes the following equipment:
- Awning with bars for tensioning
- Surfboard mounts on the roof
- 20L solar shower
- 12 Volt compressor
- Well secured safe under the passenger seat
- Another "secret compartment" in the back
- Kenwood KDC-6051U car radio with USB-Stick and I-Phone connection, 4 speakers
- 2 USB sockets (great for charging electronic devices)
- Large roof hatch and three windows, all with window blinds and mosquito nets
- Isolation material for blacking of the car screen
- Power extension cable (20m)
- Toolbox with basic equipment
- Towing cable
- Fire extinguishers
- 1 Grill
- 3 Pots, 2 pans, cutlery, cups and dishes for 4 persons, 2 salad bowls, Tupperware, 7 glasses, 2 cutting boards, good knives, can opener
- Clothesline, clothes-pegs
- 2 Pillows with cover, 5 bath towels and 2 normal towels,
- Floor mat and interior carpet, tablecloth, 2 seat cushions

The van was very well maintained by previous owners as regular official inspections were conducted in Germany. The last successful inspection took place in February 2015. In order to prepare the van for its big journey to South America some repairs were made:
- January 2016 (Germany): New starter battery, new rear brakes, new brake lines
- October 2016 (South America): New front brake pads
- November 2016 (South America): New toothed belt (regular interval change)
- December 2016 (South America): Oil change and replacement of oil filter
Regarding the handing over of the van to the next owner: We plan to end our trip in Buenos Aires at the beginning of April as our return flight leaves on 11th of April from BA. Therefore, it would be ideal for us to organize the handing over in Buenos Aires. However, we are of course flexible and could for instance arrange a handing over in Santiago de Chile and fly from there to Buenos Aires. Another possibility could be to station the van in Uruguay until pickup by the buyer (possible up to 12 months).

The price for the full package “T4 camper van with many extras” is 9.800 Euros. (or 10.250$)
